MJ Actuary (麻將精算) — Mahjong Scoring Companion

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MJ Actuary ("the App"), developed by Evan Wong ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
MJ Actuary is a scorekeeping companion for offline, real-life Mahjong games. The App helps users record players, rounds, scores, self-draws, draws, bonus pool amounts, pull/kick relationships, history, and session statistics.
The App does not provide online gambling, casino games, betting services, real-money transactions, payment processing, or prize redemption.
You are responsible for how you use the App and for complying with all laws and rules that apply in your location. You should verify scores and settlement records before relying on them.
The App is a convenience tool only. It does not decide, encourage, manage, or validate any real-money activity between users.
You agree not to use the App:
Game sessions, player nicknames, scores, round history, and settings are stored locally on your device. The App does not require an account and does not provide cloud backup or cross-device sync.
If you uninstall the App, clear app data, or start a new game, locally stored data may be deleted. You are responsible for keeping any records you need.
The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob or other third-party advertising services. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time. We may also change scoring displays, supported rule options, language support, or other features as the App evolves.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate for every Mahjong rule variation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
This includes disputes between players, incorrect score entries, misunderstood house rules, lost local data, or any offline settlement decisions made by users.
The App, including its design, branding, code, visual assets, and content, is owned by Evan Wong or used with permission. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App except as allowed by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date" at the top. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
